Q10. How do I figure out how many fixtures I need for my area?
A: There are many factors to consider when determining how many lighting fixtures you will need to properly light a particular area. First and foremost, you need to know how high your ceiling is. Next, you must decide how much light you need to provide to properly light the area. This can be expressed in foot-candles or in lux. Also, you need to know how far apart you plan on placing your light fixtures and how much wattage and how many lumens that a particular light fixture will put out. At OAK LED, we would be happy to work with you to develop a plan for properly lighting your space and for determining the appropriate fixtures for your particular needs.
