Sports venue lighting environment

The venue's light environment is a system that includes several quality elements of sports lighting, as well as venue lighting design and lighting pattern elements. The main photophysical elements of the site lights are light color, color rendering performance, glare effect, and stroboscopic effect. The main technical elements of the venue lighting design and lighting mode are the site horizontal illuminance value and the sky vertical illuminance value and illuminance uniformity.

Photophysical element 1: Light color.

Currently used in badminton, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, football, etc., stadium lighting for sports venues. Commonly used are 400W metal halide lamp, LED high-power energy-saving lamp, high-frequency electrodeless lamp, T5 energy-saving lamp stadium row lamp, spiral U-type high-power energy-saving lamp, 6U-60W high-frequency energy-saving lamp. The light colors of these six venue lights are not exactly the same, and many of the white light that looks like is not necessarily the sun. The white light of high color temperature looks like the sun, but the essence is not the real sun.

The stadium lighting of the venue lighting should be the color of the sun, and the color temperature of the stadium lighting should be around 5000K-6000K.

Photophysical element 2: high color rendering performance.

The higher the color rendering performance of the stadium lights, the clearer and more realistic the color of the objects and spheres, and the closer to the lighting quality and effect of sunlight. The color rendering index R of the sunlight is 100%, and the higher the R value of the field lamp color rendering index, the higher the color rendering performance of the stadium stadium lights.

Under the conditions of horizontal illumination and vertical illumination, the sports lights with high color rendering performance are selected, and the field lights constructed by matrix uniform lighting are used. The brightness, clarity, authenticity and comfort of the venue's lighting are much higher than the lighting quality and lighting effects of low-color performance venue lights. The color rendering index R value should not be lower than 70, should be above 80, preferably above 85.

Photophysical element 3: no stroboscopic effect hazard.

The stroboscopic energy of the stadium lighting acts on the human eye and can cause stroboscopic effects in the visual perception system. Lead to visual positioning is not accurate, or create visual illusion and cause visual fatigue.

For AC lighting that is driven by AC energy, any AC power with a driving frequency below 40 kHz (week) will produce stroboscopic energy and stroboscopic effects. Only above 40 kHz (weeks), preferably up to 45 kHz (weeks) or more. The lighting of the venue can be smooth, non-fluctuating, and there is no stroboscopic energy and stroboscopic effect hazard.

Photophysical element 4: no glare hazard.

Once the lighting of the venue is glare, the players will often see a bright and dazzling light curtain in multiple locations and multiple angles, and they will not see the sphere flying in the air. The greater the glare energy of sports venue lighting and sports lighting, the more serious the damage of the venue lighting glare. There are already many lighting projects for folk sports venues. Because the lighting of the stadium is dazzling, glaring, and glare is so serious that it cannot be delivered and has to be redesigned.

The spectral energy structure of the stadium light can be close to the distribution ratio of the visible spectrum of sunlight. The glare energy of the stadium lighting will be the smallest, the glare damage is the lowest, or there is no glare hazard effect. For sports lighting, the color temperature is around 5000-6000K, the sunlight color of the stadium lights, the glare energy will be the smallest, and the glare damage will be minimal.
